Sandbox

Adam has been asking us to get him a sandbox for a while now. He had one of those little green turtles for a few years, but it just wasn't big enough for all of them, so we gave it to a friend. Last year, we used their old swimming pool, but it got a hole in it this year. Adam was dying for a big sand box he could sit in and play. We looked online, and the prices were outrageous! They were as much as $500 for a nice wooden sandbox with seats and a cover. Well, obviously, we weren't going to spend $500 on a sandbox or a birthday gift, so Rick decided to design and build one. Last
Sunday afternoon, he and the boys built a really great sandbox. It was killing Adam not to have sand in it for a few days. We had to find the right kind....the good clean stuff that doesn't have the cancer warning on it. We finally go some one evening, and they sat and played in it until 9pm! They've been in it everyday since. Casey usually wakes me up at 7am asking if he can go play in it. It really is awesome!
